The Cut is a project about 7 years in the making. The tracks are a selection of songs marking my most significant moments of progress as a composer. In (mostly) sequential order, each track is one of my self-satisfactory firsts- the first time I tried a new style, a new genre, a new technique, or a significant leap in successful results from one not-so-exciting song to the next. These are the songs that made the cut- so to speak- and like a neurosurgeon making each new incision, the album penetrates a bit deeper into the mind with each successive track.
